If you have a real interest in those things, though, think about who your favorite performers are...use that as a starting point, but don't copy them. Find out what about them inspires you and think about what you think is missing from their art. Go with that that and see where that takes you. You can be inspired by something and still be completely original after diligently working on your art. Also, what does Dali have to do with this?
