I would suggest doing a few pro-bono to make a reel unless you have one already. Then go to the clubs, music stations, etc and give people demos. You should have a website that people can go to that showcases what you are promoting. A lot of musicians/groups are struggling with no budget or business plan so in order to attract brand name clients, you'll have to became a name brand. Of course, if someone is good, their band will have followers. I've produced a dozen music videos and 5000+ hours of streaming video.
